An unforgettable day. I left Cappadocia feeling like I really understood its history and its landscape.
If you are in Cappadocia, don't just stay in the center. The Green Tour explores so much more terrain.
Derinkuyu is absolutely mind-blowing. The sheer scale of the tunnels makes you wonder how people lived there centuries ago. Our guide explained every single section with incredible patience and deep historical knowledge. The narrow passages can be a bit challenging if you are claustrophobic, but the experience is totally worth every step. It really gives you a profound perspective on ancient engineering and survival strategies. I would recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes because you will be walking and bending quite a lot underground. A must-do excursion for anyone visiting the region!
The Ihlara Valley hike was the highlight of our trip. Walking along the Melendiz River in such a peaceful canyon was a breath of fresh air.
Selime Monastery feels like a fantasy movie set. The architecture carved into the mountain is unlike anything Iβve ever seen.
Our guide had so much history to share. He made the underground city tour feel like a real-life adventure.
